#1 Northern Star Parol

The dark color in my parol’s body like green and red symbolizes our current situation now which is pandemic, the yellow means the light which is our goal as a company, the red tail is a symbol of moving upward just like when stars fall yet my star is moving up so despite our current situation we must still remember our common goal and move forward.

Materials:

  • Made of cut 2 liters coca-cola bottles.

  • Painted with green, yellow and red colors.

  • Cut crepe paper for the parol tails.

  • Added christmas lights for glowing effect

#2 Unity in Adversity Parol

Several pieces of trash have been picked to create a whole new purpose, but there is courage in the heart of each individual who create such masterpiece in their humble places just to emulate the spirit of Christmas season

We have witnessed the abandonment of different used materials along the streets, but the invention of a Christmas ornament out from nothing will transport your imagination into a new perspective.

In the midst of the pandemic that shaken the whole world, let us not forget the very essence of Christmas. As we make a Christmas decoration, it builds so much hope and joy. Its immaculate radial shape gives us courage that whatever misfortunes we are facing right now shall pass.

Imparting hope that embraces all of humanity, this “Unity in Adversity Parol” is a testament of the everlasting love in this world.

From nothing, let your imagination take flight with its wonders…

Materials:

  • Recycled salad cups as the body of Parol

  • Excess paints for the color decoration

  • Cut out globe and unused damage face mask

  • Recycled  rejected crepe paper tail from my competitor

#3 Crown Star Parol

This year many trials have passed in our lives such as the covid virus, this lantern is made of recycled materials that should be discarded but can still be used as a lantern. This lantern is symbolizes hope and dreams of life that can give meaning to life

Materials:

  • Combined two Softdrinks bottle and cut all sides to form a star

  • Cut water bottle head for all corners to look like a crown

  • Additional water bottle and cut spiral for tails

  • Paint color and add glitters for decoration to shine the star

#4 RR Parol

Nothing ever seems too bad too hard or too sad when youve got my parol in your home.

Materials:

  • Winnowing Basket as the body of Parol

  • Recycled Red Ribbon box for the star of Parol

  • Additional red ribbon for the tail

#5 Golden Star Parol

Just as light shines in the darkness, The Gefura Golden Star symbolizes Truth, Spirit and Hope. No matter what happens it will always Shine and gives brightness to its clients. And it will also gives hope to its people. Especially during this time of pandemic.

Materials:

  • Body and Rays- Recycled illustration board, chopsticks and glitters

  • Logo- Recycled illustration board and glitters

  • Tail- Recycled illustration board and metallic foil

#6 PP Parol

It may look simple compare to other parols but I believe in the saying that “Simplicity is beauty.” As you can see, there’s a lot of Gefura logo which represent the company. This Parol serve as inspiration to others that we can be able to survive in this trying times if we learned how to be more responsible and discipline like what Gefura did. I just want to share what I learned in this pandemic through this parol and it’s about appreciate simple things just like how this parol made.

Materials:

  • Paper plate as the body of Parole

  • Egg tray as the decoration

  • Excessed/Scratch paper for additional decoration

  • Most of all with love

#7 Lightning Parol

Since our building is under construction I thought of using scraps materials like used welding rods and since I am a technical practitioner, I used UTP cables to signify my love on technologies.

Materials:

  • Used Welding Rods for the frame of Parol

  • Recycled Carton Box for the body of Parol

  • Additional glitters, paper plate and paint color for decoration

  • Used UTP Cables to bind the welding rods and for the tails of parol

#8 Fork Star Parol

Christmas is one of the most exciting holidays and it is only few weeks away! We may not have the usual celebration of Christmas due to Covid-19, but as we are trying to beat this ongoing crisis. This lantern will surely symbolize our triumph over the darkness brought about Covid-19.

Check out my DIY Parol made of recycled materials to somehow help minimize environmental problems caused by the accumulating single-used plastics.

Materials:

  • Poinsettia – made of plastic bottle glittered with green and red

  • Star – made of disposable fork

  • Outer shell – made of plastic bottle glittered with gold

  • Inner tail – made of disposable fork
